Recurring Schedules

How to set up recurring events using the Recurring Schedules function.

Recurring schedules automatically create events from templates on a regular basis. Set up weekly, monthly, or custom recurrence patterns for easy event creation.

Recurring events can be created on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Create a Recurring Schedule

Create a Recurring Schedule from an Event

To create a Recurring Schedule from an event on the Events Page:

  1. Navigate to the Events tab in the Admin Dashboard

  2. On the Events Page, click the three dots (...) in the Actions column

  3. Select Make Recurring:

To create a Recurring Schedule directly from an event:

  1. Navigate to the Events tab in the Admin Dashboard

  2. Open an event

  3. Click the three dots (...) on the right side of the Details tab

  4. Select Make Recurring:

Create a Recurring Schedule from an Event Template

To create a Recurring Schedule from an Event Template:

  1. Navigate to the Events page on the Admin Dashboard

  2. Click on the Templates tab

  3. Select the template under Template Name

  4. Once the template is open, click Recurring Schedules

  5. Click the + Create Schedule button:

  6. In the Create Recurring Schedule module, set up the Recurring Schedule information and settings:

    • Schedule Name (Optional)

    • Repeat Every + Unit – Day, Week, Month

    • Days of the Week

    • Default Start Time

    • Timezone

    • End Condition – Never (runs indefinitely), On a specific date, After N events created

  7. Click Create Schedule to finalize the parameters and create the schedule

When a Recurring Schedule is created, it will publish eight events. To create an additional event using the Recurring Schedule Event Template, click on Create Next Event Now. If the next date for the schedule has already been created, the Create Next Event button will be replaced with a Next Event Already Created button and will be greyed out.

Edit a Recurring Schedule

To make changes to a Recurring Schedule:

  1. Navigate to the Events page on the Admin Dashboard

  2. Click on the Schedules tab

  3. Select the schedule under Schedule Name

  4. Once the schedule is open, click Edit

Editing a Recurring Schedule will apply those changes to all existing events created with the schedule.

Deactivate or Reactivate a Recurring Schedule

To deactivate a Schedule:

  1. Navigate to the Events page on the Admin Dashboard

  2. Click on the Schedules tab

  3. Select the schedule under Schedule Name

  4. Once the schedule is open, click Deactivate

To reactivate a Schedule:

  1. Navigate to the Events page on the Admin Dashboard

  2. Click on the Schedules tab

  3. Select the schedule under Schedule Name

  4. Once the schedule is open, click Reactivate

Cancel Recurring Events

To cancel all future events created by a Recurring Schedule:

  1. Navigate to the Events page on the Admin Dashboard

  2. Click on the Schedules tab

  3. Select the schedule under Schedule Name

  4. Once the schedule is open, click the Cancel Events button

  5. Optional:

    1. Check box to refund paid registrations

    2. Check box to deactivate the schedule

  6. Click on Cancel Future Events

All future events created by the schedule that have not started yet will be canceled. Past and in-progress events will not be affected.
