Managing Player Pairings & Results

How to adjust player pairings and results during an event.

Make Changes to Pairings

Once the event has started and players have been paired, navigate to the Pairings tab to make adjustments.

Match Details Panel

Click the Table field to bring up the Match Details panel. This panel shows the match history and the user who reported the match results as well as the player information and current scores.

Actions that can be taken from the Match Details panel:

  • Reset the match

  • Change table numbers

  • Assign a judge

  • Add a time extension

  • Break Match

  • Double Loss Match

  • No Show and Drop Players

Break and Rematch Players

To break single matches:

  1. In the Actions column, click the three dots (...)

  2. Click Break match

  3. In the pop-up window, click Break Match to confirm

To break multiple matches at once:

  1. Click the check boxes on the far left side to select all or some of the matches

  2. Click the Match Actions drop-down

  3. Select Break Matches

  4. Type "break" in the pop-up window

  5. Click Break Matches to confirm

Players from broken matches will appear in an Unmatched Players table above the Round Matches table.

To re-pair the players and create new matches from the Unmatched Players table:

  1. Click Add to match next to the player name

  2. Enter the Table Number or click Suggest First to auto-fill the first available table

  3. Click Create Match to pair the players

If there are an odd number of players, the single player can be given a Loss or a Bye from the Unmatched Players table:

To re-pair the round randomly without breaking the existing pairs:

  1. Click the gear icon in the top right of the Round Matches table

  2. Click Repair Round X

  3. Type "REPAIR ROUND X" in the pop-up window

  4. Click Repair Round X to confirm

If the pairs do not immediately update, click the refresh icon next to the search bar

Enter and Adjust Match Results

Players will be able to submit their match results from the live event page on the respective player site (i.e. the Disney Lorcana Play Network or the Riftbound Gaming Network). In some cases, the Tournament Organizer may need to enter, clear, or otherwise adjust the results of a round.

Entering Match Results

To input results as a Tournament Organizer:

  1. In the Result column, select one of the quick result options OR

  2. Click the three dots (...) to bring up the Report Match Results module

  3. Enter the results and click Report Results

In the Report Match Results module, Tournament Organizers can take the following quick actions:

  • Intentional Draw

  • 1-1-1 Draw

  • Double Loss

  • No Show

  • Drop both players

Penalties and time extensions can be issued in the Actions column. For more in-depth guidance on that process, refer to the Player Infractions & Penalties article.

Clearing Match Results

Clearing match results will reset match scores to 0-0. This action cannot be undone, but scores can be re-entered after they are cleared.

To clear match results for a single table:

  1. In the Result column, click on the entered round result (i.e. Susan Sims Wins 2-1-0)

  2. In the pop-up window, click Yes, clear result to confirm

To clear results for multiple matches at once:

  1. Click the check boxes on the far left side to select all or some of the matches

  2. Click the Match Actions drop-down

  3. Select Clear Match Results

  4. Type "clear" in the pop-up window

  5. Click Clear Matches to confirm
